HOW DOES ELEMENT COMPARE?
ELEMENT IS EASY TO USE
STEP 1
Remove top protection cap and discard.
STEP 2
Hold from the black plastic handle and remove bottom striker.
STEP 3
Strike the tip of the yellow striker along the tip of the red Element unit. This will start a chemical reaction and gas will immediately begin to flow from the tip of the Element extinguisher.
STEP 4
Hold from the black plastic handle and point the flowing gas to the base of the fire until extinguished.
This video shows an actual first time user determine how to discharge an Element fire extinguisher using nothing more than the images printed on the unit.
Shot in one take and in real-time, the person in the video had no product knowledge and was only told that it was a fire extinguisher and that they needed to figure out how to get it started.
Even with no product knowledge the time required to use an Element, even for a total novice, is very quick.
